7 Night Yasawa Islands Cruise
A total Fiji cultural and island experience of the Yasawa Islands. These spectacular islands are situated off the north west coast of the main island and offer some of the most dramatic scenery in the South Pacific. On your journey you'll visit long white beaches, volcanic peaks, spectacular lagoons and traditional villages.
The seven night cruise combines the popular 3 Night Southern and 4 Night Northern Yasawa Island Cruises, with a half day in Nadi between voyages to shop or enjoy one of our complimentary tours including the Garden of the Sleeping Giant or a tall ship adventure. The special Captain's Dinner completes your perfect holiday cruising Fiji.
From 06Feb10 this cruise will operate aboard MV Reef Endeavour. Reef Endeavour is Captain Cook Cruises flagship cruiser and has very similar cabin configurations and ship layouts as MV Reef Escape.
Itinerary
The pristine islands of Waya, Naviti and Viwa boast some of the most beautiful beaches, coral reefs and sand cays in Fiji. On your journey through the Southern Yasawa Islands you'll experience a traditional village sevusevu ceremony and meet the children of an island school. Music and song is an integral part of Fijian life and the special choral church service on Sunday is an unforgettable experience. Swimming, snorkelling, beach combing and glass bottom boat tours complete your daily list of activities giving you the freedom to do as much or as little as you like.
Over the next four days you will explore a thriving island village, visit a handicraft market and experience the culture first hand at the meke and lovo feast. As you cruise this spectacular passage from Yaqeta Island to the Yasawa's northern reaches, the vista is ever changing. From long tranquil aquamarine lagoons to imposing volcanic peaks, the Northern Yasawa Islands reveal Fiji's true natural beauty. Vessel Details
MV Reef Escape's small size and shallow draft make it uniquely suited to navigate the sheltered waters of the Yasawa Islands where coral reefs abound. There are big ship comforts too, including a swimming pool, extensive outdoor leisure decks and an embarkation platform with a lift from water level to the main deck. The accommodation is also extraordinarily light and open for a vessel of this size. Floor to ceiling windows, opening directly on to the outside deck, offer spectacular views.
Shipboard features include a purpose-built conference room and single sitting dining room. The onboard atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Sarongs and shorts are the daily attire for lazing around the pool, coffee bar and sun deck. At sunset the mood changes to champagne and cocktails in the panoramic lounge, as the dining saloon converts to a sea of white linen, a la carte dining and island entertainment. [floorplan]
