4 Night Northern Yasawa Island Cruise
The cruise begins with a visit to the private island of Tivua where you can swim, explore and relax before the welcome dinner. Over the next four days you will explore a thriving island village, visit a handicraft market and experience the culture first hand at the meke and lovo feast.
As you cruise this spectacular passage from Yaqeta Island to the Yasawa's northern reaches, the vista is ever changing. From long tranquil aquamarine lagoons to imposing volcanic peaks, the Northern Yasawa Islands reveal Fiji's true natural beauty. The special Captain's Dinner completes your perfect holiday cruising Fiji.
Itinerary
Day 1: A late afternoon visit to Tivua Island - a sanctuary for breeding turtles and the almost extinct Bici flightless woodhen - is your introduction to cruising the islands of Fiji. Swim, explore and relax before the Welcome Dinner aboard the Reef Endeavour.
Day 2: The day begins with a swim in the idyllic waters off Naviti Island, followed by a gourmet barbecue lunch and arrival at Vawa Bay on the Yasawa Island. Here is everyone's tropical island dream; white beaches, turquoise seas and water sports, of course. Away from the water you can explore the beauties of the island itself. And as evening draws in, it's time for the fun and entertainment of the Pacific Island Night.
Day 3: Crossing between Yasawa and Nacula Islands, reach tiny Sawa-I-Lau where a deep blue lagoon (featured in the Brooke Shields movie 'Blue Lagoon') lies surrounded by the huge walls of an ancient limestone cave system. Mysterious inscriptions of unknown origins mark the entrance to the caves. Swimming here is a once in a lifetime experience. Sawa-I-Lau also delights with an escorted village walk including a special visit to the local school to see how Fijian village children learn. A village welcoming ceremony, lovo feast, kava tasting and meke take you into the tropical evening.
Day 4: Cruise past the volcanic peaks of the Southern Yasawa Islands to reach Matacawa Levu for a shopping trip through the shell and handicraft markets. Then pause at Drawaqa Island to snorkel or take the glass-bottomed boat over its fringing reefs, or bask on the warm white sand. A final run through the spectacular Naviti Channels takes you to your overnight anchorage for a farewell dinner.
Day 5: Enjoy breakfast as you return to port.
